Description

Lord Krishna playing the flute, hand-carved from soft Tella Poniki wood and painted in vibrant traditional colours by Kondapalli artisans from Andhra Pradesh.

Kondapalli is a small village near Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, famous for its centuries-old tradition of wooden toy and idol making. The wood is first carved into shape, then dried, and finally painted in layers using traditional colours. Each step is done entirely by hand.

This Krishna idol captures the playful, divine energy of the young Krishna standing in the classic tribhanga pose, flute in hand, with a peacock feather crown. A piece full of joy and devotion.

Made from Tella Poniki wood with natural colours using the Kondapalli craft tradition. Handmade by women artisans from Andhra Pradesh. Comes gift packed with tissue and a handwritten note.
